Revenue Management – basic level
Our course will guide you through the essential stages of Revenue Management: from the correct interpretation of historical data, analyzing trends, through building consistent pricing and segmentation rules, to managing distribution channels, dynamic pricing policy and applying restrictions to protect hotel revenues. The course will allow you to identify the opportunities in the market, develop an optimal and effective strategy and, consequently, maximize the revenues of your hotel.

Lecturers
Michał Forysiak
Associated with the hotel industry since 2000, he has worked for such chains as Dorint, Accor and Hilton. Flesh and blood hotelier. He started his career as a receptionist, going through all the positions in the room division in the following years. It included, inter alia, the following functions: Rooms & Revenue Manager (Sofitel Wrocław), Rooms & Revenue Director (Double Tree by Hilton Łódź), Deputy General Manager (Double Tree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Center). For 15 years he has been closely associated with the broadly understood analytics in the hotel industry, combining it all the time with operational duties. As a result, in addition to revenue optimization, he was able to effectively optimize costs. Therefore, for many years, in its strategies, it has adopted the goal of optimizing the GOPPAR index. He is known in the industry as the Master of Excel. His proprietary tools can be found in many hotels. Awarded by the industry community with the title of Revenue Manager of the Year 2016 by the Horwath organization and the “Hotelarz” magazine. In his spare time, his passions are mountain biking, badminton and board games.
Ziemowit Szubielski
A graduate of the University of Gdańsk (Faculty of Economics), associated with the hotel industry since 2000. For several years he held positions related to the revenue management area: as the Regional Manager for Revenue Management and the Revenue Management Director. During this time, he dealt with the optimization of revenues in a total of over thirty facilities, learning about the specificity of the hotel industry of both large agglomerations (Tri-City, Poznań, Kraków, Wrocław, Szczecin) as well as holiday markets (Zakopane, Mrągowo, Mikołajki, Kołobrzeg). In many hotels, he implemented the strategy and principles of revenue optimization from scratch. He was responsible, among others, for: pricing policy, RM tools and procedures, electronic distribution, analyzes and reporting, budget process, training and coordination of reception works in this area. He completed numerous courses on pricing and revenue management in international hotel chains (Accor, Best Western, Radisson). In 2014 and 2015, he was a finalist in the competition organized by Horwath and the “Hotelarz” magazine in the Revenue Manager of the Year category. He conducts trainings: “Revenue optimization methods”, “RM hotel audit” and “Telephone booking procedure”. He likes to spend his private time actively, he has been playing tennis for many years.
Aneta Ykema
A hotelier with passion and over 20 years of international professional experience. Since 2018, the founder and Managing Director of HOTELIART – the art of hotel industry that offers training, consulting and coaching. In the industry, she is considered an expert in the field of sales, Key Account Management as well as MICE, Guest Experince and Leadership. She began her international career as a booking coordinator at Best Western International in the United States. Then she worked for the Orbis hotel chain as a Regional Marketing Coordinator in Poznań.
She also gained her experience in Germany, where she managed the MICE event and conference sales teams for the Novotel Neuss am Rosengarten (Accor) hotel, among others. Moreover, she had the pleasure of managing event sales teams for hotels of the German chain Lindner Hotels AG. Then, delegated to the Task Force, she took part in introducing hotel standards and implementing the Opera system. Another challenge awaited her in Vienna, where she managed corporate and government clients representing the Hotel InterContinental Vienna of the IHG hotel chain.
She completed MBA studies with two specializations: Hotel & Tourism Development and Real Estate Development at the MODUL university in Vienna. For several years he has been an international trainer and shares his knowledge with others by organizing various types of training for hotels.
Tomasz Kałuża
Tomasz Kałuża, has been associated with the HoReCa industry for 12 years. He gained experience in the reception, operational and sales departments, but finally found his calling in the field of Revenue Management. Passionate about data analysis and advanced Excel user. As he says himself, he is in a small group of people in the world who love Mondays so that they can come to the office after the weekend and pursue their passion.
For many hotels in Poland and abroad, he created and developed pricing policies and built a work culture based on data analysis. It provides consulting facilities for hotels of various types – business, SPA & Wellness, city and leisure.
He is successfully developing Revenuedlahoteli.pl, which is an external department of Revenue Management for many independent hotels, offering analytics services and pricing policy management at the level of chain hotels. Additionally, it provides training services in the field of Revenue Management and Excel in the hotel industry.
He has gained and continues to deepen his international experience by working and advising hotels abroad, mainly in Czech Prague. There he also has clients for whom he actively shapes and manages the pricing policy, thanks to which he is able to acquire unique know-how and use it on the domestic market.
Privately, a father of little Olek and a runner. He considers Jacek Walkiewicz as his mentor.
Cezary Sarnecki
Cezary Sarnecki has been associated with the hotel industry since 2006. During his professional career, he performed i.a. functions of the Chief Accountant and Financial Director in the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel and in the Port-Hotel Managing Company, as well as the General Director of the Hotel and Financial Director in the DeSilva Hotels group. He was responsible for the opening of the DeSilva Katowice hotel and for the comprehensive operational and financial management of the facility, including the optimization of the hotel’s revenues and costs.
Trainer and trainer in various training organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce of the Polish Hotel Industry, the Hotelier Academy, the Academy of Competence and postgraduate studies in HoReCa Manager and Hotel Management at Kozminski University and Health Tourism at Collegium Civitas. Author of several dozen articles dedicated to USALI and controlling in the hotel industry, published in the industry magazines “Hotelier”, “Controlling and Management Accounting”, “Management and Controlling”, “Business Hotel” and “Hotel Management” and in academic publications. A graduate of doctoral studies at the Warsaw School of Economics and international MBA studies signed by the consortium of universities: University of Warsaw, University of Antwerp, Free University of Brussels and Bergische Universitat Wuppertal. Certified Chief Accountant and member of the Accountants Association in Poland.
Jarosław Podniesiński
Jarosław Podniesiński has been associated with the hotel industry for over 20 years. During his professional career, he was responsible for creating and implementing a financial and accounting policy for renowned Polish hotels and international hotel chains (Marriott Hotels, Courtyard by Marriott, Czarny Potok). As a Financial Controller, Chief Accountant, acting Of the Finance Director, he was responsible for the optimization of revenues and effective cost management. He prepared pre-opening procedures before opening hotel facilities and introduced controlling procedures. He specializes in implementing international management standards in the hotel industry.
Trainer and trainer in various training organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce of the Polish Hotel Industry and postgraduate studies in HoReCa Manager and Hotel Management at Kozminski University and Health Tourism at Collegium Civitas. He has a license of the Ministry of Finance entitling him to run an accounting office.
